Arbors COVID-19 Update- Effective Tomorrow 11/13/20
Due to increased prevalence of COVID-19, Arbors is preparing for “High-Risk Stage”.
In response, the following changes will go into effect beginning Friday (11/13):
-no communal dining (evening dining room diners will receive room service)
-in person group activities and common areas will be closed
We urge residents to not leave the campus unless travel is vital. Additionally, we strongly suggest any in-person visits from family/friends should be reconsidered.
Based on next week’s reports from the State of Connecticut, by the end of next week (11/20) we anticipate the following by the end of next week:
– visitors will not be permitted onsite (except end of life situations) and
– residents will be asked to complete a questionnaire after leaving the campus and may be subject to protective precautions based on their outing.
These measures will be in place if county prevalence rises to 25 cases per day per 100,000 over a 14 day period in the county. At last report earlier today, the county stood at 23.6 for the 14-day average. Most alarmingly, the number of new cases is growing at record-breaking rates in the area.
Starting next week, Arbors will be offering a chat window in our gathering center as a way to supplement in person apartment visits.
Updates will be forthcoming.
Please isolate now so when we gather again no one will be missing.
Thank You,
Chanté Drasdis, Director
